Cancellation policy
Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy:
You agree to the cancellation and missed appointment fee policy when booking this appointment.
If you reschedule before the 24-hour time frame, there is no charge. If you give less than 24 hours ' notice, you will be charged $30, and if you do not provide any notice, you will be charged a 100% fee. There may be exceptional circumstances where we can waive the fee.
We acknowledge that emergencies can happen, and in such cases, we extend the offer to reschedule the cancelled appointment immediately.
Health and Wellbeing:
Please note: If you have cold or flu-like symptoms, have travelled outside the state within 14 days, or have been asked by the Government to self-isolate, you must reschedule your appointment.

At Serene Solutions, we want to make your experience as safe, clear, and welcoming as possible. Here’s what you can expect in your initial appointment:

Your first session is an opportunity for you and your counsellor to begin building a connection. Your counsellor will share a little about their background, qualifications, and therapeutic approach. You’re encouraged to ask questions about the process—your comfort and understanding are a priority from the start.
🗣️ Exploring Your Story
Your counsellor will ask thoughtful questions to gain insight into the challenges you’re facing. While it may feel like an interview at times, there are no right or wrong answers—just your experiences. You are free to share only what feels comfortable. Every question is asked with care, empathy, and in a completely non-judgmental space.
🎯 Setting Expectations and Goals
Together, you’ll begin to clarify what you hope to gain from counselling. Your counsellor may explore your past therapeutic experiences (if any), and help you begin to set meaningful, achievable goals for your mental health and wellbeing.
📋 Understanding the Process
Your counsellor will explain how the sessions work, including important information about confidentiality, session structure, scheduling, and cancellation policies. This transparency helps you make an informed and empowered decision about continuing your journey with us.
